The Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department (BPFD) is located in the Town of Sullivan, Madison County, New York. We provide FIRE protection, EMS and Ice & water rescue services directly to the communities located in the Towns of Cicero and Sullivan, Counties of Onondaga and Madison. The Bridgeport fire protection district has about 8,000 residents and covers 34.8 square miles of land including 12.5 miles of shoreline along the south edge of Oneida lake. BPFD has several mutual aid arrangements with surrounding departments, the closest of which include South Bay, North Chittenango and Kirkville. These and the many others add another 223 square miles to its overall response area.
